Georgia Draper scored the first century of her career for Yorkshire U13 Girls against an unbeaten Staffordshire team on Friday, helping Yorkshire to the top of the league spot. Batting no 2, Georgia scored 104 with a great 4 through mid off, before being run out in the next over. This is a fantastic achievement at county level and one that she can be extremely proud of!

Not content with a fine batting performance, Georgia proceeded to show that she is a talented all round cricketer and she took a superb diving catch to dismiss Staffordshire’s best batter. When handed the ball, Georgia bowled 7 overs of spin, taking 4 wickets for only 17 runs to make it a very special day for her and the Yorkshire team!

Georgia has fantastic natural ability and works hard on her technique to develop as a cricketer. Congratulations from everyone at Thongsbridge! We think that this is the first of many centuries to come and just the beginning of a very promising representative career. Well done and good luck for the rest of the season.
