Raymond had been ill for some time and was unable to attend matches this season. He was a life member of the Club having first joined in the 1930's. He was also a former Club Chairman and was largely instrumental in purchasing the ground for the Club.

He also played an important role in the administration of local league cricket having been Chairman of the Drakes Huddersfield Cricket League as well as Life Vice President. He was a fountain of knowledge regarding local cricketing events over the past 80 years and his powers of recall never failed him. We will miss his guidance and advice.
